Reverse Osmosis Systems
Osmosis principle can simply be described as the transmission of water from a less dense environment to a denser environment through semi-permeable membrane.
Reverse osmosis principle can be described as the transmission of water from a denser environment to a less dense environment using a high pressure pump. In treatment of well waters, river waters, lake waters, natural spring waters which have high conductivity rates, advanced quality treatment is realized using reverse osmosis membrane technology.
In Reverse osmosis systems, water is forced to pass through membranes consisting of semi-permeable sheets with a pore diameter of 5 angstrom, by applying high pressure. Water is filtered from outer surface of the membrane to inside with cross flow method. During this passage, organic and inorganic matters, heavy metals, porogens, bacteria etc. contained in its structure are retained by the membrane and discharged from the waste line. Water that is purified at the rate of 95-99%, is collected in a tank upon passing through product water line. The system cleans off the membrane surface by carrying out auto flushing in specific periods.
Prior to introducing raw water in the reverse osmosis system, pre-treatment shall be carried out by passing it through
an adequate filtering line consisting of a set of filters to protect the membranes and extending their lives. Additionally, dosages of antiscalants shall be applied to water before membrane to prevent sedimentation of ions and minerals and adhesion of acid, ion and minerals. Thus, performance of membranes are kept at the optimum level. pH balancing is carried out at system output when required.
The system is controlled by a PLC that is designed to control all equipment and does not require human intervention. Reverse osmosis systems get ahead other treatment systems with more effective and widespread utilization due to their low operational cost and easy to operate features while preparing pure water, potable water and special process waters.
With the advancing technology production of fully automatic reverse osmosis devices became possible and reverse osmosis devices rose to the top level in professional treatment with high quality water production at the desired flow rate. In order to design reverse osmosis devices, water analysis shall be considered in detail. Design and efficiency of reverse osmosis device can vary according to different water qualities.
Eurotech reverse osmosis units are designed and manufactured from beginning to the end considering the demand of the customer. Every equipment used in production of Reverse Osmosis units are selected from the highest quality materials. Usage of quality equipment ensures that systems operate with the highest efficiency for extended periods. Eurotech Reverse Osmosis systems reduce your operational costs while increasing the production quality.
The system shall be installed between 2 tanks to enable Eurotech Reverse Osmosis (RO) units to operate. Since the water flow rate will be low at the system output it needs to be stored.
